Music is a very important part of my life; It's rare for me not to have music playing if I'm awake. While painting, I'll often listen to the same album on repeat until a work is finished. In this case, since I was deliberately working on multiple panels as a series, I chose to listen (almost) exclusively to albums by a single artist - Public Enemy. There are little references to them through many of the works in this series. Funnily enough, the title of this work, however, comes from a mashup between Rage Against the Machine and the Clash - neither of whom I listened to while making any of the works in the series.
